Studying abroad in Rome was the opportunity of a lifetime. It is highly unlikely that I will ever be able to live abroad again, especially with a group of students my own age under one roof. But I will definitely travel again, whether with family, friends, or on my own. My experience travelling in Italy was way too amazing to never do again. So what if my plans were unfulfilled? I will make more! Or at least dream about a time when I will be able to again.
The first place I would go to is Germany. Ever since taking German in high school, I have wanted to go there not only to try authentic German beer but also to see how much of the language I remember from high school and to experience the culture I spent four years learning about. On our spring break, Teresa and I were going to go to Munich, Dachau, and Baden-Baden (as the Germany portion of our trip). I still would go to any of these places in a heartbeat. If I were to do tour of the entirety of Germany (a dream come true), I would head up to Berlin, too, and see Auschwitz, Neuschwanstein Castle, Cologne (where I would have been one weekend in April), and maybe even spend time in some tiny town to experience the German countryside. I would want to see everything and go everywhere.

I would also want to go to Switzerland and Austria like I intended to over spring break. Since coming home, I discovered that there is a massive climbing gym in Innsbruck, Austria, where we were meant to spend a day. There is nothing I would want to do more than climb at that gym!
In Italy I would go to Pompeii, Ostia Antica, and Cinque Terre, which was one of my dream locations where Teresa and I were going to go in mid-April. I would hike through the five mountain towns that rest along the Italian Riviera and enjoy the Meditteranean climate that I miss so much. I would gladly go back to Florence and re-experience champion gelato in San Gimignano. I would go back to Rome in a heartbeat and spend even more time at the Pantheon and the Vatican.

Honestly, it would be easier to share with you a list! Here is where I would go, if I had all the time and money in the world!
- Germany… everywhere in Germany
- Back to Italy! Cinque Terre in particular
- Innsbruck, Austria, and Zurich, Switzerland
- Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Brussels, Belgium (bike ride and chocolate tour, anyone?)
- Back to London (spring break 2019)
Of course, I would accept a trip anywhere, but these are my current dream destinations. I learn more and more every year of places to where I would love to travel.
The bike ride & chocolate tour sounds amazing to me! Sounds like some spectacular places! Would be quite an adventure. Hope you don’t mind if I add them to my travel adventures bucket list😉
