Hi! Or… Ciao, I guess, for the next three months.
My name is Katie Janov, and this trip will mark my first time ever in mainland Europe. When I learned that Duquesne University had a study abroad program that fit within my major of Speech-Language Pathology, I was determined to acccept the opportunity. I talked to my parents and spent two summers saving paychecks at summer jobs to guarantee that I could study in Rome for the spring semester of my sophomore year.
Now, my attendence at Duquesne’s Italian Campus is finally here!
Although it is totally surreal that I will be living in Rome for 89 days, I am thrilled to be able to explore European lands, expose myself to unfamiliar cultures, and enjoy academics in the Eternal City.
In this blog, I intend to chronicle my thoughts and experiences, as well as plenty of photos, in order to document my personal perspective of Europe, share my travels with family and friends, and fulfill Honors College credits.
Please share this blog with anyone you would like! Don’t forget to sign up to receive an email every time I post – information is on the Home page.
A presto! See you soon!
Felice viaggio Signorina Katie!!
